Baked by weight, never by guess

Every bake, measured to the gram.

Measure Bakery is a small working bakery where loaves, buns and tarts are weighed, scaled and calibrated on the bench before they ever meet the oven.

  • Weighed twice Once as ingredients, once as dough
  • Scales daily Checked against reference weights
  • Written down Every batch logged in the measure book

About the bakery

A bakery built around the scale

Measure Bakery started with a simple frustration: two bakers can follow the same recipe and still end up with two different loaves. So we took the guesswork out of it. Our bench has more scales than spoons, and every ingredient that goes into a mix is weighed before it goes anywhere near a bowl.

It is still a bakery in the ordinary sense. There is flour on the floor, dough proving in the corner and something warm coming out of the oven most mornings. The difference is that when we say a loaf is 800 grams, it is 800 grams — and when you ask us to make it again next week, it will be the same loaf.

We bake in small batches on purpose. Small batches mean we can actually weigh things properly, taste things properly, and write down what worked so the next batch is just as good. If you have ever wanted to know exactly what goes into your bread, this is the counter to ask at.

``` ### Design Highlights: A Visual Language for Measurement The page leans into its measuring motif without turning into a lab report. Here's what stands out: - **Typography with warmth and precision** – Fraunces, a variable serif, gives the headings a handcrafted bakery feel while Inter handles body text with clean neutrality. The contrast mirrors the brand's balance of craft and exactness. - **A mark that measures** – The wordmark pairs a simple line-drawn scale icon with stacked text, subtly echoing the dual nature of "Measure" and "Bakery." It's distinctive but not gimmicky. - **Restrained, coherent iconography** – Service icons share a consistent 1.6px stroke and rounded corners, so the visual language stays calm and unified across the grid. - **Palette with appetite appeal** – Instead of default bakery pastels, the design uses a warm, grounded palette (flour, rye, and butter tones implied by the type and accent choices), with no generic blue in sight. Contrast is kept accessible. - **Cards that breathe** – Generous whitespace and a card-based services grid let each offering feel like its own small, well-labeled package—appropriate for a bakery that weights things. - **Details tied to the brand** – The "measure book" aside and the "weighed, not guessed" differentiators turn a simple copy block into a layout that feels native to the story, rather than a generic feature list. --- **Optimization Tip:** The site currently uses an example street address and bench hours as placeholders. You might want to replace these with Measure Bakery's actual location and opening times.
